I am very glad to have volunteered my time and help completely free of charge to help along the opening of Main Street and the rewiring of Central Park.
That being said, I realize there are a lot of questions and misconceptions and rumors and such all over the place regarding how Main Street was reopened this week.
You all know I value transparency 100%. So the first place I'm going to point you to today is the Sharon Herald article on the situation. They shed some light on the situation straight from David Ho. I've encouraged him to speak to the media so the public can hear more about the situation. I think sometimes people have gotten the wrong idea because he wasn't talking more to the public and the media.
I've also been making note of all of the questions I've seen asked lately about the situation so I can write answers to you to help everybody understand what we have done as volunteers since November 6 to help David Ho find solutions to the struggles he's been facing.
One last thing: Remember that this issue isn't exactly like Council. This is a private business that owns their own building. So it's not like I can talk about every little detail like when it's a public issue on Council. So remember to cut me some slack since some of the questions you're asking are David's private business that I can't disclose. But I will share what I am able to, because I want the public to know more and I want to show you that I do care and I do get involved to help out when I can.
Right this minute, I'm getting us ready for the parade this afternoon and taking care of business at my own business, Lisa's Indoor Flea Market, especially since I haven't been spending enough time there lately because I've been donating so much time to help the community. So plan on hearing more from me as soon as I can get a chance to sit down, collect my thoughts, and make sure what I'd like to share is OK with the business owner, since it's his private business, not mine.
Together we are doing better for Greenville.
Now let's focus on having a beautiful holiday season.
